The LCOTF is working to increase access to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) in the region. MAT is a highly effective evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorders. Methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone are medication used for treatment of opioid use disorders. MAT has been shown to reduce drug overdose deaths and improve treatment outcomes.
